Terms
Working with me
The rules for hiring me, written so you can actually read them. They keep things fair for both of us.
Last updated October 2, 2026
The short version
- We agree on what I'm building, the price and the deadline before I start.
- Once that's agreed, changes mean a new quote and a new timeline, agreed by both of us.
- You're hiring my judgement, so I decide how it gets built. No forcing, no pressure.
- “Just use AI for this” doesn't make it cheaper or faster.
- USD preferred. Robux only in certain situations, revenue % only with a signed agreement. No middlemen.
- Proof first, files after: you see the logs and a video of it working, you pay, then you get the files.
- Once it's paid, you can use my work in your project. You can't share, leak or resell my code without my permission.
- Revenue share deals stay in place, even if the game or group gets sold or changes owner.
- If an investor pays on your behalf, the agreed price stays the agreed price. No bargaining.
- Be respectful and pay on time, and I'll give your project everything I've got.
01Who these apply to
These terms apply whenever you hire me (Syn, synitx on Roblox, Discord and GitHub) for a commission, contract or any other paid work. Hiring me means you agree to them.
If we agree on something different for your project and write it down, that wins over these terms.
02Before I start
We agree on three things first: what I'm building (the scope), the price and the deadline. Writing it down in Discord or email is enough.
Prices are based on the time and work your project actually takes. Here's why it costs what it costs.
I only take projects I'm interested in, so I can say no to any project without giving a reason.
03Payment
What I take:
- USD. This is what I mostly take.
- Robux, but only in certain situations. I'll tell you upfront if it works for your project.
- Revenue share (%), but only with a signed legal agreement, so nobody can fake or change the numbers later. No signed agreement, no revenue share.
- No middlemen. You pay me directly and talk to me directly, not through someone else.
When you pay: proof first, files after.
- I build it, and keep a record of the work as I go.
- Before you pay, I send you the work logs plus a video or screenshots of it working, so you can see exactly what you're paying for.
- You review it, and once you're happy, you pay.
- As soon as the payment arrives, you get the files.
No payment, no files. Until it's paid, the work stays mine.
Someone else paying? If an investor, partner or anyone else pays me on your behalf, the price we agreed is the price. They can't bargain it down or add their own conditions once it's agreed. If they want something different, that's a new quote, agreed with me first.
04Changing the plan
Once we've agreed on the scope and deadline, that's the plan.
- You can't change deadlines on your own. Moving one earlier needs my OK, and it might cost more or might not be possible at all.
- New features and bigger changes aren't “small tweaks”. They get their own quote and timeline.
- Changing your mind about something I've already built counts as new work.
- Before doing any change, I'll tell you how it affects the price and timing, and you decide.
06How I work
You're hiring me for my skills and my judgement, so I decide how things get built.
- No forcing or pressuring me into methods, tools, shortcuts or deadlines I didn't agree to.
- “Just use AI for this” isn't a reason to cut the price or rush the deadline. I use AI where it actually helps, and I'm the one who decides where that is. The thinking, testing and fixing still take time.
- “It should only take 5 minutes” doesn't make it take 5 minutes.
- No spamming me for updates. I'll keep you posted as I go, like I said in how I work.
- I'll always give you my honest opinion. You don't have to take it, but I won't build something I know is broken or exploitable just because I was told to.
07Talking to each other
I'm not online 24/7, but I aim to reply within 24 hours, and I'll let you know in advance if I'm going to be away for a while.
Keep it respectful. Being rude, abusive or threatening ends the project (see ending things early).
08Feedback and fixes
You test it and tell me what's off, and I fix anything that doesn't match what we agreed. That's included. New ideas that come up while testing count as changes (see changing the plan).
09Who owns what
Once you've paid in full, you can use what I made in the project we agreed on, and edit it for that project as much as you want. Until it's paid, it's still mine.
Unless I give you written permission, you can't:
- Share, leak or post my code publicly, or hand it to other people for their projects.
- Sell or resell it, on its own or as a kit, model, plugin, template or marketplace asset.
- Reuse it in other games or projects that weren't part of our deal.
- Say you made it, or take my name off it.
Asking is easy. Message me, tell me what you want to do with it, and we'll sort it out (sometimes for an extra fee).
I keep the right to reuse general code, techniques and know-how. My own libraries and open source projects (like the LMaaS SDK) stay mine and keep their own licences.
I might show the work in my portfolio. If you need it kept private, tell me before we start and I'll keep it private.
10Stuff I won't do
Anything that breaks Roblox's Terms of Use or the law. That includes exploits and cheats, scams, stolen or leaked assets, and anything meant to hurt players or other developers.
11Ending things early
- If you cancel, you pay for the work done up to that point.
- If I can't finish for some reason, you don't pay for the part I didn't do.
- If these terms get broken (pressure, abuse, not paying), I can stop working on the project. You still pay for the work done up to then.
12After delivery
I test everything before handing it over. If a bug in my code shows up shortly after delivery, tell me and I'll fix it.
New features, changes, and problems caused by later Roblox updates or by someone else editing the code are new work.
13No promises on numbers
I'll do my best work, but I can't promise how many players, visits or Robux your game will get. That depends on a lot of things I don't control.
14Changes to these terms
I might update these terms. The version that was live when we agreed on your project is the one that applies to it.
