Privacy policy

This covers synitx.dev and what happens when you contact me about work. “I” means Syn (synitx).

Nothing about you, unless you sign in (see “Signing in” below). There are no analytics, tracking pixels or ads.

The message builder in the contact section runs entirely in your browser. It doesn't send anything anywhere. Nothing reaches me until you paste it into Discord or send the email yourself.

Fonts, images and music are all served from this site, so visiting it doesn't load anything from Google or other third parties.

• An intro-seen flag in session storage, so the intro animation doesn't replay every time you reload. It's deleted when you close the tab.
• If you pick a theme, mute the music, or turn the effects off (rain, bats and so on), syn-theme, syn-muted and syn-effects settings in local storage, so your choices are still there next time. Switch back to the defaults and they're deleted.
• None of these ever leaves your browser.
• If you sign in with Google, Discord or Roblox, an encrypted session cookie that keeps you signed in. Signing out deletes it.
• Copy buttons only write to your clipboard when you click them. Nothing is read from it.

Signing in is optional. If you use Google, Discord or Roblox, I get the name, email (if that account has one) and avatar address it shares, plus which of those accounts you've connected. They're stored in a hosted database so signing in with any connected account gets you back to the same account.

I don't get your passwords, and I don't keep the access tokens those sites give me. If you message me through the site, those messages are stored with your account so we can keep the conversation going, and only you and I can read them. Ask and I'll delete your account and everything stored with it.

Like any website, the server hosting this site may keep standard logs (things like IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and to keep it running. I don't use them to track you.

If you email me or message me on Discord, I get whatever you send, like your name or username and your project details.

• I only use it to reply to you and to work on your project.
• I don't sell it or share it with anyone, unless the law requires me to.
• Want it gone? Ask, and I'll delete what I control. Discord and your email provider keep their own copies under their own policies.

This site links to GitHub, YouTube, Roblox, the DevForum and other sites. Once you click through, their privacy policies apply, not this one.

This site doesn't collect anything from anyone, kids included. If you're under 13 and want to hire me, get a parent or guardian involved first.

If anything changes (like adding analytics), I'll update this page and the date at the top.
